Yes Wizard, who was it said that nothing concentrates the mind like the hangmans noose? (or words to that effect - pardon moi for the lazy paraphrase!)
So, confronted with the fact of your own mortality, you are definitely not alone in looking further than the end of your nose.
Jesus reveals Himself to those who EARNESTLY seek Him. So seek Him! EARNESTLY!
Atheists are happy to skip over the big question, of cause and effect, denying a first cause, which is God, and are happy to worship something like snot on a rock as evidence for evolution.
Don't go there!
Nims - I've learned how to duck!

We'll see about that! Hee, hee hee!

Incidentally, Theland, you didn't answer the question.
Question? What kweshtchun? (hic!)
I claim sanctuary!

Ah, I see Theland. Ducking custard pies - and questions. Nothing new there then.
I have learned two things.

1- Majority of the people are here only to utilise their free time and nothing more.

2- Secret behind so many atheists are the Christians who have given people so much wrong and baseless information when it comes to God. No wonder people got so confused about believe in one and get two extra free that in the end they dumped all together. I don't blame them.

Hi naomi,
For myself, I don't believe i've changed my religious views since my confrontation with a certain Rabbi quite some years ago, but this site has opened my eyes to the way others view their chosen religion., or as it may happen, non religion.

I've very much enjoyed the discussions on here, even if I haven't taken part as the majority are well read on the subject.

I have to disagree with keyplus, (sorry chum), I think your answer is bigoted to the extreme.

Apologies naomi,

keyplus, How do you know that it is the Christians who have given people so much wrong and baseless information when it comes to God., and not Islam?.

Lonnie - I couldn't have taken another shot here as I just answered the question Naomi asked in my first post.

But to answer your question I would ask you another question. I know you are not Christian but had you been a Christian, which God would you have believed in, Father who is Son too, Son who in fact is father himself, Son who died for the sins of people, but he was father himself as son and son was father who let himself killed and said that my son who in fact me THE Father? So if you are not confused by this scenario then there is a third person who helped them as holly Ghost and he is an equal partner in this God play? Or do you think they are all same? However if you do manage to solve this equation then let me know.
Keyplus90 - you are the only muslim I have communicated with on a 'religious' level. You have confirmed to me that

1. muslims are robots - so indoctrinated they cannot see reason.

2. muslims do not want nor intend to live peaceably with other humans unless they believe in allah No pbuh!
unless you are asking what 2 down is in the latest cross word, or if you are pregnant, the only thing you learn here is oither peoples opinions. take it or laeve it. the only veiw that miught change is if you think someone is nice or a numpty by their viewpoit and general approach to answering questions nicely without prejudice.
Question Author
I disagree, Ankou. My personal view of someone's personality has no bearing on what they may be able to teach me.
ye, but only if they are teacheing you moreof what you already believe right?
Question Author
Wrong.
well im chuffed for you. what have you learnt then? and has it changed tour views?
Question Author
What have I learnt and how has it changed my views? Well let's see, Ankou. When I first encountered your posts here in R&S, and saw the way you spoke to people, I merely suspected that you were unnecessarily argumentative and rude - but now I know you are. However, I'm 'chuffed' to learn that you're 'chuffed'. Keep it up.
great answer but you have told me nothing new it kjust confirems what someone else said about you in another thread. you could try to be nice for once. but i guess that is beyond you.
oh and if you mean chakka, i reckon him saying that the church should admit that the person in da vincis painiting is definitely a woman and it is ""proposetrous to claim otherwise"", then that deserved some rebuke.

the church have it written in their old books that 12 men were present at that table so they will never contemplate it being a woman. its preposterous to think they ever might.

so you havent learnt anything then? just patronised and talked down to all the little people right?
