What is the best type of Scart lead to buy? I recently purchased a new w/s tv and hooked it up to my sky system with a newly bought scart lead (gold). I notice that there is a faint line running from the top to the bottom of the screen. It is there with the old scart too. I'm hoping it is a scart problem and not a tv fault. Anyone else experience this with scart?

Describe the "faint line" a bit better

The line is about an inch wide and is noticeable when the background (what's on the tv) is bright (ie football pitch). It is faint but it runs from top to bottom and annoys the hell out of me.
im not sure which lead you would need to buy but i wouldt recomend getting a cheap one as this can often be half the trouble!
If you had the same problem with your old TV and Scart, it is unlikely to be a Scart problem unless one of the pin connections on your Sky box is iffy. Try connecting a DVD player or VCR directly to your new TV and seeing if you still get the problem, but make sure you use a pre-recorded disc/tape. If the line is still present with both leads, it is probably your TV, if the line doesn't appear then it's probably your Sky box. This might sound silly, but check it's not something reflecting in the screen btw! Incidentally, most people would recommend spending as much as you can on interconnects. I've never had any problems with "Right Price" 1.99 leads myself, but then most of my AV eqipment is getting on a bit.
