Nerja in the late 1950s. Very Spanish, great weather.

A freeby holiday to Egypt for a week. The best one not only for the jaw dropping sights, but because of the fact it was free.

Italy..about 10yrs ago...was good to get a feeling for my 'roots'..on my mother's side. I just wished she could have been there too.

Girls trip to Spain last week was pretty fab.

Before that ... girls ski weekend last winter.

Anything with my friends is good.

I've had some good "with guy" holidays, but not this year ... and somehow not as much fun as our girlie trips. Even the girls with families secretly agree (but wouldn't tell their old men, obviously).

I went to stay with my aunt and uncle in Australia for three weeks. My cousin has her own vineyard and I was allowed to sample the finished product! I was sad to come back home.
I am saving up to go again next year.

My best holiday EVER is when my husband took me to the Maldives for my 50th birthday, which was 3 years ago. My birthday is on St Valentines Day, and the management and staff there made it extra special for me by making me a birthday cake.
When we booked it, we tried to book the "Sangu" water villas, you know the ones, out in the ocean, but was disapointed we could only get the Beach Villas, and boy when we got there we "OVER THE MOON"
The Beach Villa were perfect, we were 30 ft from the waters edge. If I don't stop now i'll be prattling on and on, but if any of you ever get the chance to go, you MUST. It is paradise on earth, if it wasn't for our 2 sons and 3 grandchildren back home in South Wales, we would have stayed there.
The island we stayed on was called Kuredu.hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm I can feel the sun on my face. Oh well back to reality, the dishwasher needs emptying...........
