do you mean seven days a week and what does she do? Is there a union who could advise ?
Unions are as much good as a chololate teapot these days....The standard type of arrangment for working on a recognised holiday would be something like Double time and a day off in lieu. As ofr not having a day off it all depends on the type of job..if it is the postmen where there are large seasonal demands then it may well be part of the working coniditions...if not then complain.
Working with no brakes is bad but not as bad as driving with no brakes.

she works 4 hours a day 7 days a week. she is a cleaner at the local hotel and her wages are not that good.she had a week off in november and they gave her very little in the way of payed leave. the bosses daughter lives with them but she cant be bothered to help. we have no union i am aware of so any info apreciated.
No brakes? She really ought to put a stop to it.
A hotel is normally a 7 day business and it is not unreasonable to ask staff to work on normal bank holidays,Christmas etc but must be given time off in lieu.If she is paid cash (ie no tax) - no rights.
