did u know that this is a music question? i know 1960 is along time ago to somepeople and it may well seem like it qualifies as history, and it would if u were asking about The Bay of Pigs or McMillan or even Elvis, but Chris Montez was not a historical figure generally. It made me laugh being here lol

I guess it is what you would call 'Modern History'. A student visiting Canada from England several years ago told me that they had studied the Mods and Rockers as part of Modern History.
