If someone from Leeds is a Loiner, and someone from Liverpool is a liverpudlian. Can anyone tell me what a peson from Halifax is known as??

Spainlad's answer seems to relate to Halifax, Nova Scotia rather than to the home of the wonderful Piece Hall.

A web search for sites including both 'Halifax' and 'Haligonian' produced 7 pages of results but they all referred to the Canadian city rather than the Yorkshire town.

Wikpedia refers to our own Yorkshire Halifax natives as Haligonians.
