I saw an ad for 5 on Sky today aswell.

But surely showing adverts from rival channels means shooting themselves in their own foot?

You'd think so, although I guess Channel 5 needs the cash and ITV seemed to have a certain amount of connection with Channel 4, especially in the early days.

It's a bit like ITV showing ads for the Discovery Channel on Sky, I guess they figure that people will watch the shows anyway so they might as well make some extra money out of it.
