What do you mean by ' we' ?
I think an independent Scotland may be economically and politically weak, particularly on the domestic and european scene. I am not entirely sure what effect it would have on me personally (perhaps someone could enlighten me - I am English), but I dont have any problem with Scottish Independence. Whether they could actually cope with being independant is another issue.

Brachi, I thought you might see the paradox of Scots leading our 3 main Political Parties and, Sean Connery asking for Indep----Oh never mind.

Oh I understand the irony alright (it's probably a secret-coalition conceived master plan or something).

I just don't know who you mean by 'we'. Can who have independance too? The UK?

David Cameron isn't Scottish, he's from Wantage, Oxfordshire, and he is going to be our next Prime Minister
not Sean Connery then..?
Listen Scotland - we've stolen all your oil and closed down all your industries - we're finished with you now - you can have your country back.
You can also have your politicians back, they are all c**p, but you problably knew that.

Is that the same Sean Connery speaking from his home in the Bahamas,or the one in New York, wanting independance for the jocks!

If "we" means the UK, then yes, I hope that the UK will become independent. By the way, David Cameron does not "sound" Scottish. In order for him to "sound" Scottish, he would have to have a Scottish accent, which he doesn't.
gary baldy how could we have 'stolen Scotlands oil' when Scotland belonged to the UK? Surely if we own Scotland then the oil is ours to take...? That is like telling the United Arab Emirates that they cannot take oil from Abu-Dhabi or Sharjah...?

"Surely if we own Scotland....."

And the English wonder why they are not popular amongst the Celts.

Ha! I knew that would get things going. I just hope Haggisdj doesn't get on this thread, he has a black belt....

Besides, I am not anti-Scottish or anti-Celt, I do own 2 sets of highland bagpipes you know!
