Lol Bobbi!! At least I will be cool.
Watch you don't scrape yourself on it :0))))
I have read that it's a good idea to wear wet nightwear or spray the sheets and pillow with cold water.
after all the misery damp cold and the rain - bring it on Baby. Love it.
I'm wondering whether to get one of those 'cool pillows' I tend to spend the night turning mine over for coolness
I tend to go in the spare room where it is much cooler and I can sleep alone without OH, the dog and very often a cat too!
I got one of those cool pillows for menopausal women. It just heated up to my body temperature. Don’t waste your money.

Bobbi, my friend had a cool pillow to help with menopause, she did not rate it much as the warmth from her body soon heated the pillow up.
I think even Lola was restless last night and she's not long been groomed
Someone wrote in a newspaper about putting a cold wet towel over their chest and abdomen. Haven’t tried it myself but I might tonight.
My daughter had one after her chemo and lymph node removal sent her into the change, I don't think she rated it either Sharon, Lola has a cool mat , I might stick a cover on that haha
You could end up with a leek in it..................leak :0)))))))))))))))

I saw on the news of various people sleeping outdoors!
One couple got driven in by flying bugs.
My dad used to sleep out in the garden. N.Y. summers it can still be 80°+ at midnight.
I would gladly sleep under the stars on my camp bed but I would need a mozzie net. The blighters love me and after a cool shower last night I sat out in my garden in my pyjama bottoms. After 3 mins and several bites I was straight in like a scalded cat. They spoil all my fun.
retrocop - // After 3 mins and several bites I was straight in like a scalded cat. They spoil all my fun. //

As I understand it, certain pheromones attract mosquitoes and similar biting insects, and some don't.

Clearly you are the first section, as was my late mother who was bitten unmercifully in hot weather.

I however am one of the second set, I don't think I've ever been bitten by an insect, ever.

Just the luck of the draw - but I do sympathise anyway.

Mozzies just love me. I would be the same as retro!

I frequently visited my late older sister in a place called Holland Landing in Ontario. It was full of dykes and very fertile around there. The rich soil lent itself to many Sod Farms and mosquitoes. One visit ,in summer, we were grandly offered my sister's bedroom whilst she slept in a large bedroom in the massive basement. They hadn't fixed the bug screen on their window so the cunning little minx let us have their double bedroom whilst she slept in the much cooler bug free basement. They say old age and cunning will beat youth and innocence. My wife counted no less than about thirty bites that tracked from my shoulders down my back to my pyjama waistband.
When we enjoyed tiffin time on her sundeck she never got bitten,or maybe slightly, but I was savaged. Just put a little extra quinine in my Gin and grinned and bore it.
