I always really envy these women who go on Extreme Makeover UK and have their teeth completely done- someone last night had new lightweight false teeth, real state of the art type. Their mouths always look fantastic afterwards. I have tons of dental work need doing which will cost a fortune and still end up with dodgy teeth afterward - I have loads of gaps and fillings. Two questions- anyone know how much these specialists actually cost and anyone have dentures and how do they really feel? Thanks

Hi, i had loads of work done on my teeth, it was about five years ago though and the maximum anyone paid was about 300 for the whole lot so to speak,( on the nhs bty).you could always phone nhs careline and get info off them.- a specialist,? youd need a second mortgage or a hefty bank loan i would think
I only have 3 teeth on a plate. I have got used to them now as I have had them a long time. There's nothing like your own teeth though. I know what you mean about celebrities having perfectly white teeth. I have a thing about teeth and that's the first thing I notice when someone speeks. They do look terrific when they are all straight and white, unfortunately most of us don't have them like that. As mydogsandme says, It would cost a small fortune to have them done I would think, but if you had the money, worth every penny.
I have five teeth on a plate. My dentist said he could replace them with screw-in titanium ones for 2,000 each! Guess my answer....

lol, that woman was me !, the new lightweight dentures are fantastic and so comfortable, you dont know you are wearing them and you can eat anything with them. I dont know the costs, but i do know that it is way beyond my means and i would never have had the chance to have them without the show!.

Thanks for watching and i am glad i was able to tell you about them

Can I just ask you how you got onto the show? Is there any criteria you have to meet? Thanks.

i had to fill in an 18 page application form and send in a 3 minute video and 2 pix.

Invited to a vetting weekend, then the rest as they say is history !

they are i am sure doing a 3rd series so keep an eye on the living tv website (main page) from january and they should start advertising for the new series applicants!

good luck, it was a once in a lifetime experience and worth every minute
