What has happened to HRH? Or more precisely, where is she? Usually at Wimbledon but not there this year. Is it true she has renounced her title and therefore her need to make public appearances? If you are reading this, Ma'am, please answer.

She's allegedly living a normal life.

Hi Top Cat,

Whilst kempie's link is humorous it is(of course) not strictly factual.

Kate Kent(as she is now known) became a Roman Catholic several years ago, this coincided with her separating from her husband(they had been drifiting apart for some time),and renouncing her royal status.

She lives in a small flat in Kensington(not Kensington Palace, where she used to live) where she gives music lessons. She was one of the founders of the Leeds International Piano Competition. One day a week she works in a Hospice for the terminally ill, where the residents just call her simply "Kate". You have probably not seen her at Wimbledon because since she gave up being Royal she gets no preference with tickets, and is not permitted now to sit in the Royal Box.

Sorry Top Cat I am not HRH,but I hope she WILL reply to you! LOL

Strange, I cannot find any humour in the above link.
Many apologies kempie,I only got down a few lines to "I look after my family and cook for my husband"(she doesnt cook for him) and assumed it was a spoof,I should have been patient and read further! Sorry.
Apology not necessary mystress.
It was just that your remark confused me and so I had to re-read the link in case I had misunderstood the intent of the text.

kempie,

I doubt myself all the time,it's nice being two people in one! LOL

Thanks to all the above answers.

Is she still Chancellor of Leeds University or am I way behind the times? (as a graduate there back in the 70s I do remember her visiting)

Top Cat,

According to a press report that I Googled,HRH Duchess of Kent ceased being Chancellor in 2000(after 30 years service),when she handed over to Melvyn Bragg.
