At the classical Brit awards on Sunday the Duchess of Kent was introduced as Katherine Kent.  Does anyone know why?

Her maiden name was Katherine Wolsley.
She tries to keep out of the public eye these days and has converted to the catholic religion. She also teaches music to children.I think she has taken this name as she doesn't want to appear too "royal".
She also lives completely seperately from the Duke of Kent now (although they are not divorced),and as such wishes to be known by an "ordinary" name. She works several days a week in a hospice for the terminally ill, she is quite a lady!
her husband is the Duke of Kent and she still is the duchess of kent, so katherine kent is her correct name.
