So if you had the money ... good day backing Stokey's tips, or something ...

... wouldn't you want to print off Chappy's thread, take it into a bookshop, and ask them to find or order you ALL of the books!

I'm sure I don't need to post a link to the thread in question, because Chappy's thread is rapidly acquiring a life of it's own, and a place in AnswerBank history ... you know the one.

think of the rain forests!!!!
It would jj but it's surprising what can be found in charity shops, for a fraction
cos I'm sure a lot of these are older books.
No ..I'd go to the library .I don't have the dosh :)

When I order a book, I don't think they cut down a tree specially, just to make me a copy.

"I don't have the dosh"

No, shaney ... the question does say ... "IF" you had the money.

=0)
I would still go to the library even if I did have the dosh
I like to get value for money from my council tax :-)
true jj......but if we all walked in the the ever expanding list, I think the Amazon rain forest would disappear!!!! Be fun though, everyone turning up at Foyles with reams of lists!!!!
Well not really. Some I have read already, some I have tried and hated...some I just don't fancy. For me to buy a real paper copy of a book these days I have to want to read it over and over and some of my disintegrating paperbacks I have replaced with kindle editions. My house is full of books, any newcomers have to earn their place.
In view of all the other forms of entertainment I am quite surprised that so many people still read books. Pleasantly surprised, I should say.
No room for any more books. All bookshelves full, 7/8 piled on bedside table, 30 or so on a table in sitting room. I'll have to take a few to the charity shop but it's so hard to part with any.
If I had the money I would order copies of all my favourite books, which would be read over and over again.
