This sounds to me like an american -based query. Many american colleges are very hung up on proving / disproving that the ancient egyptians were / were not negroes.

Go and look at the faces of their statues, carvings and mummies, and make your own mind up. But if you want a high mark, find out what your lecturer wants you to believe first.
