Do you have a hobby or pastime or obsession that compels you now and then (or regularly) ?
eg. stamp collecting, home-brewing, millitaria collecting, wood-carving etc etc

I make model planes; sometimes scale models, sometimes small flyng models but shh !

(I have an unfinished 72nd scale Curtiss SBC-4 I'm about to continue with !)

i paint and go through phases with it. i've found once i get going with it, it really does consume me and i hate dragging myself away to do anything else. being busy in the run up to christmas, i stopped completely and haven't got going again this year although this week i've been going into my studio and staring at a half finished painting as if psyching myself up to get going again.
my other half made a radio controlled hellicopter a few years ago....and crashed it on its maiden flight!
Yes, I'm currently being very annoyed by a rubik cube as it happens. Any help appreciated. http://www.theanswerb...s/Question977395.html
I fly kites and RC helicopters, so not dissimilar to yours :)
drawing old buildings etc using a needle pen(s) and it does make me some money as I do prints, card, postcards etc off it. Just setting up a website for it. Enough to pay the wine bill..........
I have been into Genealogy since the late 1980s and seem to spend alot of time on it even now,

Ooh ooh - "rc helicopters" ! Electric, glowplug or jet (or all three) ???
I like loads of odd potentially nerdy things like, model train sets, jigsaws, kite flying, fossil collecting, metal detecting, and i'm a girl...ok a tom boy...

wyzard - that sounds like me when I'm on the loo even if I'm there just briefly I go mad, Ive read tooth paste, shampoo, everything....wash and rinse... for external use only...remove cap before use - What The Funicular

LOL, electric (at the moment)

Got a blade sr 120 (fun little thing) and a Align t-rex 450

Would love to go up to glow plug, a mate has a thunder tiger raptor 30 and that is cool :)

Also looking at going into FPV video and aerial photography from a heli but cost is a issue there!

I bought one of these recently - I wish the battery would last longer !
(scuse the irritating commentary)
It was on a deal at my local "modelzone" but has now gone up in price by about 10 quid.

DT - do you mean Rotring style pens or mapping pens/indian ink ?
Those little gyro ones are fun :) but you need a 4 channel heli to really play.

If you want to step up I highly recommend the blade, it's a full 4 channel so you can fly sideways and not just turn left or right and is a pretty robust little thing and the 45degree flybar gives it a element of self stabilising that you get on the gryo helis.
