I have lots of old family cine reels of film, dating back to 1940s. Are there any archive companies who would be interested in them ? I have transferred them to DVD and I would like to give them to someone who would appreciate them.

I think the British Film Institute have an archive they are keen to get stuff for.
There is a North West Film Archive attached to the Manchester Record Office if yoiu have anything from the North West.

The films are in London and the seaside. I have contacted BFI but no response
