is an inverted snob someone who doesn't like someone just because they have more money or a bigger house, or a caravan rather than a tent?

for me its people who dont appreciate the value of money! when they belittle something without realising it would take someone of 'working class' years to save for it! Thats a snob to me! I have no problem with people having money, its not understanding it that pisses me of and thats my definition of it.

If you are not very careful your possesions will possess you. If you really need an i-pod or an i-phone then buy one just no need to tell everyone. So annoys me when people put what new mobile or technical equipment they have on facebook. Who cares??

An inverted snob is someone who comes from the same background or has had the same experience as another but for some reason chooses to look down on them for those things because they went a different way... That's what I'm led to believe anyway.

I'm guilty of being 'snotty' when the mood takes me... Mostly for the benefit of humour but not always!

I am a snob because:
I hate people who leave the toilet seat up.
I dislike people who drink beer in pint glasses.
I travel first class because i hate queueing at check-in with the rabble.
I hate going to hotels that are less than 5* for fear of badly dressed, badly behaved folk.
I hate people who pour tomato ketchup all over their food.
I cannot stand snotty nosed kids with greasy dirty hands coming to me and putting their hands on my trousers.

See....being a snob is NOTHING to do with money.

Actually Sqad, none of these make you a snob - just someone with definite ideas about how he likes things to be.

A snob is someone who has misplaced ideas about their place in the world - specifically, that they are entitled to look down on those whom they perceive as beneath them - which in itself reveals a deep-seated sense of inferiority.

That's not you - or indeed, me.
