I can't seem to fathom out their "Super saver Delivery" meaning its free delivery if you spacify. There are instructions there but I can't work it out. I've just ordered a couple of books and they're charging £3-95 delivery.
It happened with a Doll I ordered for my G/daughter, I thought I'd done it right but I still was charged.
I have proved to be a bit dim in the past and things are not improving it seems.

Any one know an easy route or even had the same problem. How did you solve it.

you have to go back to check your order status, and change the postal instruction to "free supersaver" (or whatever it says) from the drop down list.
Perhaps the items you ordered didn't qualify for Super Saver Delivery? Only items sold BY Amazon are generally available with Super Saver Delivery. Items sold THROUGH Amazon aren't. See here:

Spooky -ive just had the same dilemna just 10mins ago.
As sara said you have to go back and change it but its a bit of a cheat as you might think you automatically get it and im glad I checked my final sum before I submitted.
Probably get it the same time as if i'd paid for postage as Amazon are superquick.
Go back and cancel your order then re-order -you should still have time -I did that as I forgot to check Argos first and it worked OK when I re-ordered.
I also think it's a bit naughty, to make you go back and alter it. I'm sure loads of people miss that.
I did the same thing last week.It was,nt until I checked the final total cost,I realised I
had wrongly pressed the First Class Delivery button.
I was able to cancel this and change it to Free Super Saver.
The ordered item arrived in 2 days !

Yes Bue both itams I bought had the SSDelvy thingy, Mind you I'm a bit late now to delete them and they're half price anyway so even without free delivery they're still a bargain, but that is hardly the point is it?
I'm sure its a sprat to catch a Mackerel though (if you know what I mean.

Thanks folks for your replies. ♥ Jem.
Jem, you can still try to alter it if the items haven't been dispatched. give it a go.
Although offering free delivery, the ordering process defaults to First Class post which is a bit naughty. You have to change the selection before submitting the order.
awww, come on guys, it's not a cheat. It defaults to standard delivery - but you can change it! Just check before you push the final order button (which is always a good idea anyway).
Check on play.com to see if you can get the item cheaper....it's free postage for dvds, games, books.
You have to watch this, if it says you qualify for free delivery then it only applies if from amazon direct and not when they act as a middleman for another seller

jno --- Thats what this whole thread is all about. I got the book at AMAZON anyway for £7-49 as you say (we've gone full circle here) but not free PP, it says so but I couldn't work out how to get it (I think I have now) it wasn't automatic
Thankyou for your interest those who joined the thread.
