I have been told that one can tell a genuine Rado from a fake by the screws. Genuine Rado have slotted screws, fake have cross head. Can any Rado owner conform this or add any other info?

It's possible that a few fakes with incorrect screws were around at one time, making them easy for the layman to spot, but that's no guarantee that the fakers haven't since remedied their error by using the correct type of screws.

"Only a qualified watchmaker familiar with Rado products can judge if the watch is a genuine Rado or a fake one.

We therefore advise you to purchase only from authorized Rado retailers, who will guarantee that the Rado watches they sell are genuine. Every new watch is sold with a warranty card and certificates. Buying Rado watches from the Internet is a risk."
