memory foam mattresses seen lots on ebay at tolerable prices(@150 for double) - but are they actually any good at giving good sleep or just a gimmick?
And are these cheaper ones inferior?

try t j hughes bought one for just under 200 squid plus postage really good!!!
Yes me and Puddi, get a good rhythm going on it! {:D
I bought one recently and found that once you get used to it they really are comfy! They radiate a "Heat" which is a little strange at first, but you do get used to it too. The pillows I have found to be not so good. At first they remain firm, however after some time they do loose this. Bit like some men I've met lol.... Hope this helps?
Never trust a memory foam mattress, they tell on you!!
tali, I bought a "cheap" memory foam mattress topper (2" deep, kingsize) from Ebay last year. it was 75 and it's just one of the best purchases I've ever made. if you buy a topper you need a reasonable mattress to put it on.
Hello Sara ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
hello stompe ↑↑↑↑↑↑ !
matresses are good but agree about the pillows - I've thrown mine out and gone back to the ones I had before.

Also agree about the heat.
Very comfy indeed. I sleep much better since buying mine, the only trouble is I never want to get up in the morning.
Buy cheap, buy twice.

I bought one off e bay, and it was thinner than I expected. Also it is crushing and not recovering where we sleep.

How about going to Homebase on the 3rd / 4th of April. I saw some there a while ago, and that weekend they have 15% off everything.
