Castle Howard

Did a long long trip today to Castle Howard to see the Christmas decorations, to say I was disappointed would be an understatement. The place is awesome, beautiful grounds but the decorations left something to be desired. The gift shop, bakery and garden produce was overpriced as you would expect but the cafe was extortionate. Wish I had stayed at home and watched the golf on telly!!. Feel ripped off, and it was expensive to get in as well. Has anyone else been?
