Having rec good advise in the past regards TV recorders, I would now like help with replacing a very old mobile, pay as you go phone. Plain & simple please, no camera, music etc. Just an easy to use mobile to make & rec calls in an emergency. Possibly with easy to see numbers. My old one has 'died' after 5 years and I had just got the hang of how to send texts! ! Thanks

it may be wise to stick with the same brand as your old one as the menus and general usage will be similar.
if not then the basic nokias are probably about the easiest to use in my opinion and available cheap from most supermarkets, for example
