My sister was looking to buy a sofa, she saw a corner suite that she liked but was not sure if it would fit her room
The sales assistant was talking to her she wrote down the dimensions for my sister and took bank details and asked her to sign contract to save her coming back to the shop she said this would go on hold until my sister decided if it would fit or not and she was to phone her in the following week to let her know either way.
she has been unable to talk to this particular assistent and the shop are saying it has already gone through as a sale. Please does anyone know where my sister stands on this.

never give out bank details if you arent actaully paying for anything
I bought two sofas from DFS and asked them to check that they would be able to deliver them because my lounge is on the first floor. They wrote on the paperwork that the sale was subject to a site survey and the delivery men came to check the house before the order proceeded. As I was able to proceed I am not sure if there would have been a problem with cancellation if they would not fit but the company seemed to be geared up for this situation.
