Hi folks my husband is forty in December and I have no idea what to get him for a present other than a watch. I have asked him ,he doesn't know, but wants something to mark the occasion. He travels a lot through business, so a weekend away is off the cards, surprise party is a no go, he loves music but has the latest ipod and he works in the music industry so tickets for a gig are out.

Anyone got any ideas as I am really stuck for ideas.

cheers

An incribed pewter tankard. Especially if he is a beer drinker?

Or even better, choose from here.

Does he like cars? A rallying experience could be an idea, my ex had one for his 30th and loved it.

I took him indoor skiing and rockclimbing for his 31st.

Quad biking is another idea.
Book him and your self a lovers retreat for a weekend, cottage, sauna, scented candles, restuarant., outdoor activities on site if you want them .Stay in bed ,chill out , drink loads of wine and just enjoy.

What else do you need?
Where abouts are you?
We have a gorgeous place in the N.east.
My man is sooooo hard to get for; if he wants it he gets it! so bdays are difficult.

Some times the best things are the things you remember eg make him a photo album of life so far....if your first date was mars bar and coke get him that (with a note attached coz men have short memories lol), your song, or if all else fails ...........

man love a strip tees :D

scary but oh is memorable :)
shorely on this occasion his buissness trip could be put on hold for a day, get him something really personal, something he has maybe fantasized about , with you in a sexy negli...to round the evening of if you have kids get the mother or mother inlaw to have them

Thanks everyone for your answers, he loves cars so I think a dirving experience would be a great idea. Have been on the net and found some really good ones a Knockhill which is only an hour and a half away, (there is not much in north east Scotland).

Thanks again

I had my DNA tested to trace my ancestry back thousands of years by National Geographic. Its something for my kids to keep as my DNA runs through them and their kids in the future.
