Sorry yes - He is a HGV driver. He is a bit of a joker. He loves films and his Xbox. He is the boyfriend of my friend (they've been together 5 years), he loves Baileys (the drink).
obviously i don't know where you live or where he would like to go, but for my 40th we all chipped in and rented a lighthouse for a fab dinner party & overnight stay with all my friends!

then they went home and we had lots of fun checking out local beaches/ walks/ pubs/ restaurants etc!

t'was no more than any holiday home rental and really felt special!

My missus got me a flying lesson for my 40th - plus I got a driving experience day for another birthday (choice of lots of high performance cars to drive, including Porsche, Lambo, Aston Martin etc - I chose a Porsche 911).
Out of the 2, the flying lesson was the best in my opinion, as it lasted alot longer - I was up in the air for 45-60 mins ish, whereas the driving only lasted 10-15 mins ish ..... both were superb though :)
Id try groupon.co.uk they do great offers every other day xx

Thanks everyone but he is not my husband - he is a friend's boyfriend - and although we like him very much I don't think my husband would agree to spending hundreds of pounds on a birthday pressie. I think I may check on Groupon though - good idea. Thanks
i gathered it was your friends husband from your question!

the costs depend on how many of you club together!
I also gathered that it's not for your partner - I just didn't know how many would be clubbing together :)
I think that a flying lesson for an hour costs £150 ish.
I've just done a quick search and u can get a 20 minute lesson for £45:

My friend gave my husband a remote control James Bond car for his 40th, another gave him a book about the making of the Bogart/Bergman classic

I have a friends 40th soon too. I managed to pick up paint balling tickets for him and 9 friends for £26 on groupon a couple of days ago. That's £26 total for a days paint balling and lunch for all. Just need to pay for extra ammo

a HGV driver? he'll probably already has a GPS? what about CB radio? (http://www.president-electronics.com/boutiqu

if he is travelling around europe, then perhaps he still has to spend his free time in the truck, then maybe a good book could be a choise?
or maybe a nice skeleton wristwatch? like this one http://www.gembid.co....ens-Watch-TW0568.html
