Perhaps each persons name can be a link and when clicked takes you to a profile page which includes picture, real name, dob, hometown and maybe include something like hobbies, pastimes and topics most active in, last question asked and answer. Or at least a picture and general information we be good as I'm sure I'm not the only one who would like to know more about certain people, or at least what they look like! Anyone else?

Never happen Eurox
There are people on here who need to keep their identity a secret or they will wake up and find an ex squaddie sitting on the end of their bed snipping of their toe with a pair of pliers
well i think it would cut down the membership by 25 % lol

Well surely this website was designed for questions and advice rather than for slagging matches and insulting people.. even if it is an ex.
Not a good idea Eurox t'would be pistols at dawn..lol.
No, that is what facebook is for!
if you click on an avatar it pretty much tells you as much as you need to know. I am on facebook but it seems like a waste of time unless you are able to be online alot.
Exactly rightEurox this site is designed for Q's and A's as you rightly said and not for revealing personal details to all and sundry.

It's true there's a lot of banter and fun amongst the more serious stuff, but I cannot imagine anything worse than baring all on an open forum....especially in the depths of winter!
Question Author
Well I don't see what trouble it would cause just putting down something like hometown, or even d.o.b. I just want it to be a bit more open rather than just a name.
neither do i eurox . . anyway there is scope on the profiles to place as much or as little information as you want, therefore preeople who do not want certain details known can simply not enter them
Question Author
So would you agree that the option should be there if you wanted to submit your details?
absolutely

Take note AB Ed!
Way too dangerous to give personal information out. Not all people are good and safe to trust lol
You already have the option to add hometown / age / sex etc on the beta answerbank. Seeing as you are suggesting it, you haven't added any information for yourself yet ;-)
I would never give anyone my surname on here!

Some time back, an Ab'er gave their personal email address to someone else on here. They then found that person via Friends Reunited & their home address on B4U Search! Not that they did anything with the info, thankfully.
