I moved into a new flat and I bought myself a cheap crappy kettle from Argos for 3 to tide me over.

Now I've settled in I'm looking for a new kettle. I haven't found a Which? magazine that covers kettles so could anyone recommend a kettle that is quick (not as quick as the QuickCup as it doesn't boil properly), quiet and cheap to run as I swear my kettle is guzzling the electric like nobody's business.

Any suggestions would be helpful :D

Don't know about cheap to run or quiet, but in terms of speed, absoultely amazing. An "In Cuisine" kettle. We had one of these in our cabin at CenterParcs and it was amazingly fast - I am thinking of buying one - I think they are 3 kw - which proably works out cheaper as although more powerful it is only on for a really short time. Not particularly stylish though, if that is a consideration. Just a basic white jug kettle - it was cordless.
I made the mistake of buying a Quick Cup and then found it didn't get the water hot enough for tea. I've now bought a De Longhi, cheapest was on the Co-op website, and it's brilliant. Not particularly quiet, but it boils quickly.
