I have sky tv , a vcr and dvd player going through my tv. I only have one scart socket and a three way scart junction box.If i watch normal tv i have a slight ripple effect from top to bottom of screen. If i watch a dvd i have about six bold stripes all in a row to the left of the screen [very faint lines] and quality of the vcr picture is very grainy can anyone help ?

not really other than to say it's the scart that's doing it. I used to have to disconnect the DVD (connected with scart to tv) when watching a video. There is a site which explains the optimal way to conenct em all up, but i give up in the end. http://www.cinemaxcables.net/cinemax.pdf
I know one thing and that is to try not to use cheap scart leads they have caused me no end of grief in the past.....i then splashed out on some expensive ones and i dont suffer with any problems anymore.I suppose the same could be said for scart junction boxes too.Is it possible to get rid of the junction box and say connect dvd to vcr then out of vcr into the sky box then from sky box to the tv.So when you switch either dvd,vcr or sky box on then thats what will appear on the tv.Good luck.
