does anyone know how to get silicone sealant off One Step flooring? my husband was advised to put sealant between each tile as it has been laid in the kitchen, thin smears rub off quite easily with your finger but in a couple of places there is a slight lump where he has missed cleaning off. It has gone really hard and we are struggling to remove it. can anyone help please.LL

Is this flooring that you`ve put down the laminate type, because if so adding sealant into the joints isn`t a good idea because its a floating floor and has to be able to breath (ie expand) and the sealant wont allow this. Forget this post if it isn`t. BTW silicone usually comes off by rubbing it and also I`d say silicone doesnt really go hard its more or less always spongy

thanks for the information, yes it is laminate and the shop recommend that we put the sealant in because it's a kitchen and it helps to keep it water tight. when i said hard i meant spongy and not sticky sorry for the confusion. don't know what to do now its all set!
theres a product you can buy for removing silicone, not too sure if its in an aerosol form or you brush it on, might be worth a try
