dry cleaning

ive jst bought a new top, wore it out and it needs a wash however its silky and decided to handwash it but read the instructions and it says 'professional dry clean only' is there anyway i can just handwash this?

i would hav thought if you could handwash it it wouldn't say professional dry clean only. i would imagine that means profesional dry clean only really!
I may be wrong but I once saw a product in Tescos that you could dry clean a garment by placing a sachet and garment into your dryer
I have in the past washed dry clean only stuff by putting the washer temp dial onto nought but wouldn't recommend it
Persil used to have sheets called Revive that cleaned stuff in a tumble dryer,i used it once on a dry clean only jacket and it worked really well,saying that though i haven`t seen it on the shelves for ages so it might have been discontinued,or maybe the likes of asda do their own version.
