But its not christmas and therefore i will feel really inhibited going to the till and buying a skirt.

Should i feel like this ? is it ok for men to buy clothers for a woman if she is not there? im always afraid the assistant might think im some sort of cross dresser!

i work in New Look, which in some shops does have menswear but the one i work in doesnt, and we get quite a lot of men coming in and buying stuff for women. i never think twice about it... there are some who come in and make up really bizarre stories which are quite worrying though! so just dont make up weird stories and you'll be fine. i doubt they'll think anything. dont worry :-)

ok thats cool. just that i work at marks and when i asked a woman there if we still had soemthing i had seen as i wanted it for my girlfriend she laughed at first. Maybe she thought it a funny idea that i had a girlfriend?!
What about some shoes or jewellery instead? It might feel a bit better if you're slightly anxious.

A girl can never have too many shoes or necklaces!
Don't be daft! Why should you feel inhibited? I often buy stuff for my wife. Just make sure sure you get the size right, if it won't fit when you give it, it's rather a disappointment, for giver and receiver.
