cleaning hair irons

had my straightening irons a while now and they dont glide as well as they used to through my hair just wondered if theres anything you can buy to clean them with or any tips on how to clean them thanks.

use the same stuff you get to clean a normasl iron, available from your local hardware store, if one surviives in your town, if not, any shop that sells cookers and small electricals may have a box on the counter.

I use baby wipes on my GHD'S works a trick!

on the instructions to my straightners it just says use a damp cloth....i hope this helps

a hairdresser told me to clean them with a damp cloth when they are warm, so that the build up of styling products has melted a bit and is easier to shift
