I have some dark jeans (from Topman) which I washed inside out, and they went nice and stiff. I turned them back the right way to iron them and struggled with the creases, and now there are some shiny marks on them.

Are these permanent and should I have ironed them inside out? What can I do to get rid of the marks next time I wash the jeans?

It sounds as if you've scorched them, in which case the shiny marks are more or less permanent. You're supposed to put a damp thin cloth over trousers to stop them going shiny. Either that or do them inside out x
