M&S offering banoffee hot cross buns, not tried them, got the trad ones instead.
I think banoffee wil have a lot more sugar added via the caramel.
Should I stay or should I go?

Banana and toffee in hot cross buns may Clash
I tend to stick to traditional, however I had some I think were sainsburys ones with bramley apple which were quite nice.
Get both.
Are you avoiding sugar ? If so maybe buy none.
I'm traditional all the way.
And me, those are buns, not hot cross buns.

1ozzy,
Yes they may indeed clash, but only when Londons calling to the faraway buns,
A weak pun is better than no bun
I adore the traditional ones but just the thought of chocolate, caramel, banoffee, apple versions actually make me heave.
Question Author
OG,
Get both , too self indulgent
Get none, too abstemious
Oh no , what to do
And what if there is hidden G M in the HCBs?
I need help, but not from Mrs Trellis of Tunbridge Wells
Question Author
Prude,
I have the feeling that you and I will never know the joys, or horrors of the banoffee ones.
Question Author
Apologies
That should have read prudie, not prude
no pun (or bun) intended
No probs, not 'currantly' a prude :-)
Question Author
Groan,
my vitally important post is descending into Frankie Howerd/Larry Grayson territory,
BTW, “I’ll do the jokes”
OK, can you spice them up then?
Question Author
Oh cinnamon, where you gonna run to?
jokes coming two a penny now
Sainsbury’s also do cheese, tomato and oregano hot cross buns. I do love traditional ones but these savoury ones I’d be prepared to try, I’d not bother with any of the other ones.
We always toast ours and I once bought chocolate ones with bits of chocolate in them..yes, the toaster needed high pressure hosing afterwards :/

I have fairly eclectic tastes when it comes to food, usually any way. I seem to have a “trad” wall when it comes to HCBs.
But oregano cheese tomato!,**! No way, that’s about as mad as garlic on bread, it will never catch on. Fortunately no Sainsburys with staggering distance, so i will not even be tempted.
Oooh, aircooled, imagine them with bacon in, or spread with marmite, yum yum!
Pun on, you fool ;-)
