I'm in the West Midlands in my elevated south facing garden. My thermometer is in full sun so is not the way the weather people do it.

I am freezing. I have retreated to by bed and put the heating on. It is raining heavily and I think that is destined to continue.

When I was in junior school, it was my job to take the daily temperature. I think it was to give me some responsibility for some reason, no idea what the information was used for and if I forgot to check it, I made it up anyway.

It's a gorgeous day up here in Teesdale, which is good because we've had two sets of triplets this morning and a couple more looking like lambing. Never, never complain its too hot!

My patio is a sun trap, it's always a lot warmer than my front garden when the sun is shining. My wife is sunbathing, I'm enjoying the shade of the house. I don't know how my neighbours cope with their conservatories, I'd boil to death.

APG, one of my greatest pleasures is burying my hands in to a sheep's fleece. That sounds wrong, but I promise it is an innocent pleasure. Reminds me of when I used to bottle feed the lambs as a child on holiday.

my brothers garden is a glorious suntrap, its usually upwards of 80, 85 in the shade. we sat in it one day and it was 95.

Its supposed to be sunny here...but so far it isn't. It was glorious yesterday but I missed it as I stayed in and painted my bedroom. Still more to do.
