i've had some flood bags for about 15 years which are brilliant - you fill them with water then add a packet of polymer to use them. Then when you want to deflate them you just empty the water and the polymer can just go on the garden. I had to use them last week, but the company i bought the polymer/bags from is out of business.(uk flood control)
Anyone know where i can buy the bags of polymer

So they are use once only ?
One might have hoped one could dry them out and reuse. Probably can with sand.
The bags weigh abouta pound so they are much lighter than sandbags, easily stored and they can absorb 4.5 gallons of water.

thanks. my bags are reusable, when you have used them, you empty them. but to re-use them you need more polymer, and that is the thing im looking for
It was the polymer filling as well as the bags that I was thinking of.

the bags are reusable (and light and small when "deflated") but obviously the polymer isnt - it comes as a powder then is no longer a powder after it's serve it's purpose. In the general course of things i would go to the original supplier and re-order just polymer but they are out of business. i originally bought them a long time ago, and only just needed them so i dont know how long theyve been out of business
If you have the old polymer still, you can let it dry out and then use it again.
