Does anyone know of a major supermarket chain that sells packages of decaffeinated whole coffee beans ?

One thought they'd be common enough but instead of a range of flavours and strengths they seem as if they're non-existent. Well except mail order from the Internet, and that's an unacceptable long term solution.

Wondered if anyone knew who did them that I could get locally.

Cheers.

Decaffeinated coffee is like alcohol-free lager; utterly pointless and defeats the whole object.

Had hoped to try Waitrose yesterday, but ran out of time (not exactly the most local supermarket). Thanks will definitely try there. (Either that or it's no point in unpacking her new machine, may as well go back for a refund.)
You may need to go the Amazon route...

Thanks, have been looking there. Need about 227 gm bags really so the lot fits in the machine in one go. Plus there's p&p, and it's often dearer. But an option nonetheless.
You may be able to get it from your local Oxfam shop if they have the range of Fair Trade coffees and teas.

You can also purchase it online - https://www.oxfamfairtrade.be/en/products/food/coffee-tea/coffee/beans/organic-decaf-coffee-beans-1-kg/

Thanks, I'll take a look.

i have never had to think about it, but i would have thought the decaffeinating would have been done in the processing, making it so you couldnt get whole beans decaffeinated. Learn something new every day!
I just saw the colours and thought it was pretty.

Someone did mention that my boy Frankie was now an 'it' as he no longer had dangly bits. He is a typical male - a big wimp and a mummy's boy.
Morrisons,Sainsbury and Asda all had them in the past, Aldi sometimes, m & s have them, and waitrose. Sounds snobby but branches in nicer areas are more likely to stock them. If you can't get them Aldi do a lovely ground decaf that makes a good stopgap.
Decaf ground coffee tastes the same as the full caf version.
Decaf tastes nothing like the proper stuff!

There is more difference between different brands than between caffeinated and decaffeinated versions of the same coffee. Just need to try a few to get one you are happy with.

Tried Sainsbury's and Lidl yesterday with no success. Good to hear some stock them (perhaps sometimes at some of their stores ?)

Managed to find a single decaffeinated option in Waitrose. Unfortunately just a "mellow" grade 3, but it's a start.
