We have just finished our serrano ham from Aldi, bought for Christmas for about £35. We have had some most days, and it was just as sweet and nutty and flavoursome today as it was day 1. I have chopped up the bones made some stock and with last remnants of ham creating pea and ham soup. This has been tremendous value for money; Jamie Oliver eat your heart out lol!

Too true Ab and soup tastes delicious, no need to add salt!
I saw something similar in Ldle and nearly bought one, but as a singleton, it would have taken a month of Sundays to get through it all !
I did see it in Aldi pre xmas, but really wasn't sure if we could get through it. Or how to store it for that matter, it was rather large.
Ferlew...its wasn't rather large...it was ruddy huge !
More like the side of a cow!!!!
Who would have an oven big enough to cook it?

I didn't know you got Ham from A Cow,
;o)
It didn't need cooking Jack, if my memory serves me right...its was a bit like prosciutto.
Side of a pig then!!!!
It's ham. It doesn't need cooking.
In which case, where do you store it to keep it fresh for a month?
