I meant lift one of their kids over the turnstyle ^
wow youve bought back some memories there sandy,my earliest memories are of my dad lifting me over the turnstile at the old victoria ground [stoke city fc]...and the old guys behing the wire meshing operating the turnstiles never, ever said a thing, loads of dads used to do it..sadly a thing of the past i would imagine...
Same has stokie except Villa park in my case, Haven't seen kids being passed over the turnstiles for donkeys years now, sandy.
would that of been in the dark ages when clubs didn't have to fund mahoooooosive player wages??

money's got to come from somewhere......

I remember when we were kids we'd ask someone to lift us over at Distillery's ground. Occasionally a joker would let you scramble over the turnstyle and then turn away and go to another gate.
if you are in an all seater ground with all tickets sold where would the nipper sit if you could get him in for free, most of the turnstiles that i have seen and these were from a few years back were floor to ceiling type

It just goes to show how long it is since I was at a match.
Dark ages, Mccfluff? Do you mean a time when players were proud to wear their team's colours, even when the cameras were not there? A time when players had an affinity with their fans - many of whom were much better paid? Bring back those dark ages, i say.
notice how i said > these were from a few years back
