I'm looking to buy a tablet for my wife for Christmas but don't know which one. I don't want to spend more than £200 all together so was wondering which one might be best?

So far the Kindle Fire HD seems to be best value for money but are there any others you might recommend?

Sorry about my totally unrelated input ...it should have gone in another post.

When I want to get the lowdown on a tablet I always look at http://www.hotukdeals.com/search?action=search&keywords=tablet
They are a fairly knowledgeable bunch when it comes to tearing a product apart.
As VHG has already stated the Nexus 7 is the flavour of the month....

As VHG has already stated the Nexus 7 is the flavour of the month. I,m afraid the Kndle Fire HD has'nt got the same support. I went for a Motorola XOOM after great deilberation and reading lots of reviews. I can't really fault it. Whatever you do, get a tablet, you won't be sorry. I have'nt used my laptop since I got mine.
I've been told that the Samsung Galaxy tab II is the best tablet around.
