Anyone had it done? If you have did you have a general or local anaesthetic? I need to make a decision in the next few days and would appreciate some opinions. Thanks in advance.

No I haven't had it done.
In hospital ....depends upon which part of the day you have your operation. Late in the afternoon, hen it will be an overnight stay. Operation early in the morning then you may go home later that day.
Anaesthesia......BOTH. General anaesthesia and when asleep a sciatic nerve block.
