There is only one I would recommend!  "Creative Zen Touch."  20 or 40 Gb's, tons of memory up to 10,000 songs, is that enough?  And a battery life of about 24Hrs, and I can vouch for that!  Works well with my PC and sounds great, easy to use once you get the hang of the touchpad.
Well Bruce5755 beat me to it. I was going to sugest that one. I havent got a zen touch but i have had a creative labs mp3 player and have had no complaints. If i was going to buy a new mp3 player it would be the Creative zen touch.

I have a Sony Network Walkman HD-3.  It has a 20gb hard drive and 30 hours battery life (ATRAC or 22 hours MP3).  It's really slim, lightish (but metal), very cool looking (comes in a selection of colours) and I'd be lost without it!

Sony have also just announced the HD-5 which is out in a month or two.  It's similar spec but even better.  Well worth considering.

I would only reccomend ipods. After myself having three MP3's in the last 2 years, my boyfriend having 6, and my brother having one, each one has broke before a year of owning it. My boyfriend bought an ipod (20GB) and has had nothing but success, so i bought one for myself (6GB Mini) and have also had great luck with it. They are easy to use, easy to install software, look attractive and can hold plenty of songs. Many people have MP3's however i believe they have not been tested enough during manufacturer to the amount i have known to go wrong. Ipod's have a brilliant right up, and can be bought for the same price as a good MP3 now..(139 for a mini ipod from the apple mac website) Hope this might help

enjoy you holiday, Laura xx

Three of my friends Ipods have all had things wrong with them within a year.  Guess it comes down if you get a good batch or not.
Creative Zen - definitely.
