Take a look at some of the popular teenagers shops, and places like next, etam, (cant remember any others), probably need a lot of similar stuff to what you wear already, trousers, tops etc. Obviously now you will be looking at skirts and dresses as well but you may feel more comfortable sticking to trousers for a little while, one step at a time eh. Also, try go shopping and sit down outside the shops for a while, just take a look at what other girls are wearing and you'll have loads of ideas. Good Luck
If you have a close female friend or relative, perhaps she/they could go to the clothes shops with you. Good luck & have fun choosing!
Unisex clothing will be fine - go to New Look, Etam and the likes.  Good luck and congratulations.

i'm sorry and i cant believe i am being so opinionated however i think you should wait a couple of years until you know yourself even more.  I am sure you will be the same person then as you are know but how do your family feel because you are a minor

willow74, I expect you missed jessebloom's other questions under parenting and body and soul. As I understand it the situation is that she was born hermaphrodite and has so far been raised as a boy but now at puberty has been told by a doctor will develop more as a female and has female chromosomes and so has decided to live as a female from now on. A complex situation I can't begin to imagine going through myself.

As for clothing advice - depending on where you are I would agree with other posters take a trusted female friend / relative with you. Go to teenage friendly shops like new look and topshop. It is bound to be a massive transition so you might want to look less at the very girly clothes such as summery dresses to start with. Perhaps womens cut jeans and pretty vest tops or more sporty type female clothes might be the way to go.

Don't buy something just because it's fashionable look for things you are comfortable in and suit you. Best of luck on your shopping expeditions and your adaptation in general...

im 14 and I shop in shops like topshop,new look,h and m,jane norman,warehouse,original shoe co.,next,river island,BAY,logo.

good luck :)

have a look round some shops or in catalogues and just see what you like :o)

thank you for your help, you are wonderful
Hi Jesse, could you not go shopping with a female friend? She could show you the sort of things she buys, and you could then develop a taste of your own- which things you like and don't like. Then you will be able to choose for yourself!!
