I hate Ironing - anything else on the domestic front is fine.

For example, my Mother and Eldest Sis love it. Here is my reaction to their ironing 'list'

(i) Dress Shirts or decent shirts - yes
(ii) Male Underwear - no way
(iii) Female lingerie - maybe
(iv) sheets - no way (winning the Lottery big-time, new sheets every night)
(v) socks - no way
(vi) towels- no way
(vii) tea towels - definitely no

Do you iron - and what???

(i)Dress Shirts or decent shirts - yes (but OH often does his own)
(ii) Male Underwear - no
(iii) Female lingerie - No
(iv) sheets and duvet covers - don't be silly (but I do iron pillow cases)
(v) socks - why?
(vi) towels- no way, it wrecks the fluffiness
(vii) tea towels - Yes, otherwise the don't fit in the drawer
I iron all clothes but not underwear, socks, pyjamas, tea towels, sheets or duvet covers.
^ PS OH always irons his own shorts and trousers too, I can't bear faffing around with all those pockets and zips. I do my own skirts, dresses and t-shirts.
Hate it and don't do it!
It depends, too, how much time you are prepared to devote to it. I dive into the ironing pile when I've run out of things to wear.
I hate ironing but when I do it, I iron everything even tea towels.
As little as possible.
Bedding no
towels no
underwear no
clothes - if they need ironing I don't wear them-except 2 pairs of trousers, all the rest don't need it.
OH does all his own ironing.
I iron "under protest". The majority of my clothes have been purchased for their "no need to iron" qualities or the fact that they go to the dry cleaners and come back perfectly pressed.

The last time my OH saw me with an iron he had to check I hadn't been abducted and replaced by an alien life form.

I do agree with your list.

Thanks all and the vote so far is "limitation" - how can one be so 'manic' to want to iron? I guess this is all about keeping the hands occupied - and I am not being suggestive as to that comment!
I really don't get it. one of my oldest friends LOVES ironing. She's nuts.
Hi DT - I am very conscious of the fact that my children probably get noticed more than most children (because there are so many of them (and obviously because they are gorgeous)) so I make sure that they are 'well turned out'.
Anyway, I've learned that if you cock it up enough, you don't get asked again ;)
oooh i could NEVER put an un-ironed duvet and pillowcases on a bed!

and yes to ironing everything else, lol, not too fussy with tea towels and undies though, but they still do get a once over.
What's an iron?
One of my friends loves ironing too!.........sure she's an alien!.............told her so manyt times!..........she visits me and does my ironing!...........wierd, very wierd!..............
I rarely iron. Just sometimes a blouse. Never iron anything else. I tend to buy clothes that don't need ironing and take everything out of the dryer and fold it / hang it up while it is warm, so it doesn't wrinkle. My ratter does his own ironing (my hero!), i.e. his work clothes and shirts etc., but he too just does what he wants to wear. Crazy thing is, I actually like ironing, but it always does my back in, hence I rarely do it.
Everything gets ironed............the cleaner does it.
