Is there an easy way to transfer a photo to canvas d-I-y at home yourself?

You can get A4 canvas for ink jet printers, the results look quite authentic but the surface is very susceptible to the tiniestwater splashes. They cost abou £1 each and come in packs of about 10.

Ref Pinterest, yes great, but they keep mentioning Modpodge for this but have no idea what that is in the uk. Any suggestions??
Hobbycraft sell it I think, also Amazon and Ebay. It has been mooted that it's plain ole PVA but I'm not sure.
