Does anyone know of any charity shops in London who will come and collect donations or do I need to contact individual branches to find someone?

I have recently had a big clear out of good quality clothes that don't fit since I gained some weight (along with a load of other bits and bobs) and I don't live near a charity shop and can't really lug the stuff to one on a bus!

I don't want to recycle the stuff and I don't have time to Ebay it.

Don't you get those charity 'please fill a bag' things dropped through your door? I get at least two or three through my letterbox every week. (The record is 11 in one week!). You simply put your items into the bag and leave it on your doorstep for collection.

Otherwise, most charity shops can arrange collection. The British Heart Foundation seems to be particularly well organised when it comes to collecting items. You can find the contact details of your nearest store here:

A lot of those so called charities that drop the bags off & ask you fill them are a con. It was on Watchdog about them.

No one has ever dropped a bag off. I live in a block of flats so may not be able to access my door too easily.
