I don't know why but he comes across as smarmy and makes my skin crawl. Smug git - describes him.
I think he's great.
I'm not sure he's quite as knowledgable as he appears. He has answers fed into his ear on QI. He is certainly very intelligent, though.
Do I like Stephen Fry? I adore the man....with a passion. I love his sense of humour but like you say, he is so knowledgeable and that's very sexy....♥♥
Love him (although leaving him for gness). He is fully aware he looks smug and says he can't really help it. I think he's funny, intelligent and just old-fashionedly charming.
You took your time^^
He may have answers fed on programmes like QI, Clover but to hear him speak and debate is bliss...x
I like him.
Me, Psyb?....Had to have drooling time before replying.....☺
He is without doubt one of our greatest living Britons.
I couldn't imagine a more thrilling dinner guest or travel companion, given the chance.
Has anyone apart from me read his autobiographies? Painfully honest.
I actually cross-posted with you, gness. But knew you'd be along...;-)
I have, Naomi. Enjoyed them.
Wouldn't an evening with him be fascinating, Chill?

And me too, Naomi.....

Probably the most emotional episode there's ever been:

I love him and try to watch anything he does. I also have all the audiobooks he has narrated, I just love his voice it's quite soothing, I wish he would read all audiobooks.
National treasure.

Ratty....I adore listening to him too.....anything he reads is bliss.

I want some clever person to put him on my Sat Nav.....honestly...I'd go anywhere he told me to......♥
It would indeed gness, a night to remember.

For anyone who missed his WDYTYA episode, I must warn you that the last 10 minutes are very emotional.
i do and think the same, and totally sympathise with his problems with mental health,
A funny and very humble Polymath in my opinion. I love him
