O no, it's that time again - I hate putting the clocks back, I want to go into hibernation, it's so depressing getting up and coming home in the dark...:-(

'Always look on the bright side'

an hour extra in bed

;o)
Why do we do this stuff with the clocks going to and fro? Why not just leave it?

Since farmers no longer need the extra hour for harvesting (round here harvest came in a couple of months ago) it all seems a bit pointless now.
Well. it will be lighter in the morning for a while. It won't be too long for the winter solstice and then it will start getting lighter again.
Fortuantely, I no longer have to get up aat 6.00am to get ready for work so I won't find it quite so depressing this year. I do hate driving home in the dark though, that seems to take a while to get used to
Perhaps if the Scots vote to leave the UK then the rest of us can align with CET - an extra hour of evening daylight all year round sounds good to me ....
Zeb that's interesting about the schoolkids - round here even the small ones are delivered by car for the main part. I wonder when the last changeless year took place?
I can recall glow-in-the-dark armbands being given out in the 1970s and I've a vague recollection of enormous confusion happening one year in the 1960s.

We should decide either to stay with GMT all year, or stay with BST all year. GMT is more logical.
Boxie - start an online petition. It might take off!

Baldric, the Christmas lights are up in the town :-( (Lighting up = 26 Nov)
Thanks boxy
Made a note,
Avoid Dover on 26 Nov
I like this time change. Basically I will be going to work an hour later every day. If it's left I think it should be as GMT that we are about to return to, not British Summertime.

Not like you to be down Desktop.......
it's a pain in the arris..
oh Em your avatar! lookadasweedipudditats!! Awww gorgeous!
If it's the schools they are concerned about then they should leave the clocks be and alter the times of school instead ! I'd be happy that my child spent less time in school at this time of year anyway thus less chance of getting poorly too, just give them more homework to counteract.
Doesn't bother me, like the dark cosy nights at home by the fire !
i have always hated this wretched playing around with the clocks, messes up my body clock completely.
