Ok, its not here for quite a while, but what do you like and what do you hate about winter?

I just love eating all the wintry comfort foods - cassoles, dumplings,stews!
Also love the snow, and log fires.
Can't stand getting up in the dark and driving home in the dark either : (

Hate winter,hate cold rainy weather.. that's what's so depressing for me. I look forward to the summer every year and every year it's a disappointment!

It's the dark mornings and evenings I'm not at all keen on, would love a log fire though and some of the lovely hot food that goes with that time of the year.

When I'm on morning shift ( 6 am - 2pm ) leave the house about 5.20am and it's bloody -10 out side and pitch dark, hate that.

Time to give my slow cooker a run for its money again, placing a leg of lamb, or whole chicken in just before I leave for work and returning to a wonderful foody aroma when I return, I find it so comforting.....I love snow, lying in at the weekend when its too cold to get out of bed...taking a huge mug of cocoa up to bed and hugging it for a few moments before sipping. Bliss !

I adore my slow cooker - its so easy, like you say just chuck everything in then when you get home its done.

I dont mind the winter at all.I pull the curtains and light up my candles in the hearth, love it!

Like Tonyav I leave early for work (5:15) so hate freezing cold mornings (defrosting car, driving on icy roads)

Love walking in the house when I get home, opening the door to the smell of mince and taties that have been cooking all day in slow cooker

I hate the dark, but I love the sniffy smell in the air on a clear frosty morning.

I hate being cold and driving when it's icy (which I avoid like the plague). Love having the wood burner on snow days (we have had loads in recent years).
