Is this a new take on the Christmas Tree (Oh Tannenbaum), or are the Germans taking over the world of celebrations?

If you go to Salzburg, you will fine entire shops that sell blown, decorated eggs. OK, so it's not Germany, but the tradition of celebrating Easter is a very long one in South Germany and Austria.
We're the mugs for buying chocolate eggs.
We have an Easter tree, it's a few branches, willow for preference, and we hang some wooden toys and tiny chocolate egs on them. And yes, we did start doing it when we lived in Germany. I'll be here with my needle, threading through the foil of the eggs tomorrow.
zebo, I love that idea, going to try to make one for the grandsons tomorrow!..........

I also have an Easter tree. I decorate a tall plant in my dining room with small yellow and white aggs (they were bought a few years ago in a cheap shop); it looks quite effective.
